Patrick Mahomes tops Kurt Warner in his first 8 career games with 22 TD passes

The career of Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, through eight games has been like that of no other. At least when it comes to touchdown passes.

In Sunday night’s 45-10 win over the Cincinnati Bengals at Arrowhead Stadium, Mahomes threw four scoring passes. That gives him a total of 22 touchdown passes in the first eight games of his career. He broke the NFL record of 21 set by Kurt Warner.

He said that he did think that he will be getting success, but didn’t expected this much. He added that at the same time, he knew the weapons they had, and was aware that if he just ran and did what the Coach Reid wanted him to do, there was a chance they could be really good.

The Chiefs had players wide open. The Bengals couldn’t just get pressure on Patrick Mahomes in an outright total defensive collapse in Kansas City.

Mahomes is very quickly closing in on the Chiefs’ single-season record for touchdowns. Len Dawson threw 30 touchdown passes way back in 1964, and Mahomes has just nine games to catch him.

Mahomes threw 4 touchdown passes this season in games against the Patriots and the Chargers. He had 6 scoring throws in a game with the Steelers.

Despite losing two seasons, Jed York still shows confidence in John Lynch and Kyle Shanahan

Jim Harbaugh and Jed York parted ways mutually after the season held in the year 2014. Jim Tomsula was substituted after 2015 season while the 49ers won five games. Jed York began work just a year later by pulling the plug on the tenure of Chip Kelly followed by Trent Baalke, the former general manager of the team.

But things seem to have taken a different turn with the head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch. After York signed the six years contract with these two in 2017, 49ers have bagged only 10 games, but instead of placing Kyle and John in the hot seat, York is displaying some unmatched sense of patience.

Jed York stated that he was trying to send out some indications and messages to the players, fans and the potential agents by not dismissing the coach and manager yet. He believes that success may seem like a distant goal in the first two years, but the future has definitely something special to serve.

Questions were asked whether Jed York felt the same way about Shanahan and Lynch when he had hired them, to which he retorted he felt much better than that situation and is gladly ready to some faith in the present coach and the manager.

Dinner with fast food, President Trump’s way of honoring Clemson Tigers

When at the White House, one can surely observe a scene where men decked in bow-ties and light golden colored candelabras stand by as the U.S. President stands by the table loaded with small mountains comprised of lavish food on beautiful silver trays.

However, this scenario was a bit different from regular ones. Instead of the regular old fancy meal, one can see packages labeled with “Filet-O-Fish” and “Quarter Pounder”. Now, this particular feast with fast food on the table was organized by the current U.S. President for Clemson Tigers, a team that successfully took over the Alabama team that once ranked at top position for the National Championship for College Football Playoff.

Now, President Trump was ridiculed and rounded by Twitter observers and comedians for the unique feast provided for the players. The players would have expected visit to White House with dinner served befitting for the champions. Rather, the Tigers received dinner that was meant for drive-through customers. The only thing fancy about this dinner was the plates they were on.

Before the dinner, Trump informed the reporters that he was going to serve Burger King, Wendy’s, and McDonalds. He confirmed that he really is serious as he wants to keep it interesting for the visitors.
